Terms & Conditions of Hire

Bookings:

  • To secure your booking, a $500 deposit must be paid within 48 hours of receiving your confirmation email. Full payment is required 4 weeks before the hire start date.

 

Bond:

  • A security bond is to be paid on boarding (minimum $500). This amount varies with different boats (please refer to price lists). Your bond will be refunded (less running costs), provided the boat is returned on time, in good order and in good condition.

 

Conditions:

  • The number of people on board must not exceed the number of berths.
  • Please advise specific bedding configurations no later than one (1) week prior to check in date.
  • Anyone driving the boat must be at least 18 years of age & hold a current driving or boat licence.
  • Boarding time is 2:00 pm on day of departure (can be earlier by arrangement).
  • Disembark time is by 9:30 am the day after the last night of hire (i.e. the last night of hire is Saturday; you need to disembark by Sunday by 9:30 am). All Boarding and Disembarking times to be discussed with management (a minimum of 24 hrs prior)
  • Comprehensive instruction will be given in the handling of the houseboat together with  safety & river maps.
  • Firearms, axes, chainsaws, trail bikes & candles are strictly prohibited.
  • Houseboats must not be driven at night. All Department of Transport houseboat regulations must be agreed & adhered to at all times.
  • The owner/manager reserves the right to refuse any person/s the use of the houseboat.
  • The vessel must be returned in a neat & tidy condition, or charges will be incurred.
  • Smoking restrictions apply to our fleet.
  • No fuel to be carried or decanted on the vessel.

 

NOTE – All damage and losses will be charged at cost



CANCELLATIONS:

Where late cancellations occur (Less than 4 weeks prior to departure) and we cannot re-book the craft for that period we reserve the right to refund the $500 deposit and 20% of the hire. Please contact us to discuss further.
